Can we try IrisBG before buying?
Yes! Request the free 60-day trial version and try IrisBG before ordering. If a tailored solution is hard to finance, you can also apply for the IrisBG Sponsorship to get it at a reduced cost.
Do we own the licence, or is it a subscription?
You own it. A software licence is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: once you have bought it, it is yours permanently and it does not expire. The annual fee is a separate thing. It covers support from our team, all new updates and improvements, and for hosting if you use our hosted services.
What does the annual fee cover?
For software licences, the annual fee includes free access to support from our team, updates and improvements. For hosted services, the annual fee covers our hosting expenses. The annual fee is not what gives you the right to use the software, when you invest in IrisBG you get a licence you own.
Which currency will we pay in, and is VAT included?
Prices come from regional price lists: USD for North America, South America, Asia and Africa; EUR for Europe; GBP for the United Kingdom; AUD for Australia and New Zealand; and NOK for Norway. VAT is not charged for clients outside Norway.
What does data migration cost?
It varies with your database platform, its complexity and the quality of your data. Send us your data and we will give you a fixed cost.
Where is the cloud database hosted?
Cloud database hosting uses Microsoft Azure SQL, with 99.95% guaranteed availability. The annual hosting fee covers our expenses for running this service.
Are discounts available?
Yes. Selecting all six main software modules triggers an automatic full-suite discount in the calculator. Gardens and arboreta with limited budgets can apply for the IrisBG Sponsorship, and BGANZ (opens in a new tab) member gardens receive a discount on licences and services based on their membership tier.
