The IrisBG Sponsorship

Apply for an opportunity to get your tailored solution at a reduced cost, with reduced fees and software licences for gardens committed to the larger botanical society.

The IrisBG community now counts over 1000 collections worldwide — gardens, arboreta and private estates. We are very proud of our engaged and knowledgeable community, who are all in their own ways working towards missions within education, research and conservation.

Keeping healthy records of your collection is crucial if you want to collaborate with other gardens on seed and plant exchange, support research efforts, and preserve and share institutional knowledge with visitors and staff alike.

With the IrisBG Sponsorship we want to lower the threshold for gardens and arboreta who are committed to contributing to the larger botanical society, but who for different reasons have difficulties financing solid collection-management software. We encourage gardens and arboreta in biodiversity hotspots to apply.

Eligibility and conditions

Eligible candidates will have

  • An annual budget of up to USD 150,000.
  • An expressed mission working towards education, research and conservation.
  • A commitment to contribute to the larger botanical society.

Requirements & conditions

  • Proof of annual budget.
  • A statement of intent.
  • Completing the freely available online IrisBG training.
  • Contributing and giving back to both the larger botanical society and the IrisBG community.

    Together we find the most appropriate way to support you and your mission.

Not eligible for sponsorship? Our prices are published, including an automatic full-suite discount, and BGANZ member gardens receive a discount on licences and services based on their membership tier.
